After the scandal surrounding the mount in Diablo 4, Activision Blizzard has angered its community again, this time in Call of Duty
Over the past few years, those responsible at Call of Duty have repeatedly put their foot in their mouth and upset the community on more than one occasion. Be it completely unfinished and buggy games at release like Modern Warfare 2 or Vanguard or simply the endless flood of cheaters that inundated both MW3 and Warzone.
This time, however, Activision has come up with something new to annoy players, taking Diablo 4 as a model.
Diablo 2.0
How much real money can items, store bundles and skins cost in a game? A question that is always hotly debated by both players and developers
If Activision Blizzard has its way, these should apparently cost at least as much as the actual game. While the gaming community was only racking its brains in mid-February about who thought it was a good idea to introduce a €65 mount in Diablo 4 the Call of Duty developers are now going one better.
Slap 80 € you have to pay if you want the new B.E.A.S.T. Glove which was introduced as part of the Godzilla x Kong collaboration in Modern Warfare 3. Unlike regular items, to get the glove we don’t have to buy just one bundle, but four (!), each costing 2400 CoD points.
A quick reminder: Modern Warfare 3 itself only cost € 70 at release, a whole €10 less than the glove, which offers you no advantages apart from its appearance and punch animations.
It almost seems as if the developers at Activision Blizzard have lost all touch with reasonable pricing. The reactions of the community are correspondingly negative and pillory those responsible.
$70 Game btw. This should not be in the game for that price. Before these were in 2400 bundles. Now they cost 8000 CP. People need to wake up and speak up about it. Stop with “just dont buy it.”

On Reddit, too, the gaming community is not holding back with criticism and sees the Call of Duty franchise on a dark path. Many players suspect that the developers are testing how far they can go before the community rebels, similar to Diablo 4
I can’t believe this isn’t being talked about anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve bought bundles too, but to advertise that the only way to get this blueprint is to spend $80 plus tax is absolutely ridiculous. – XBOXJOCKEY
It remains to be seen whether Activision will decide to adjust the price of the bundles after the shitstorm or offer the glove as a single item for sale.
