As always stylish, super cool and highly dramatic presents the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3! The first gameplay trailer was unveiled on the evening of 17 August as part of a big Reveal livestream on YouTube and delivers. Night and fog action, ranged and close combat and of course Captain Price and Task Force 141! What more could you want?

This is what the first Modern Warfare 3 gameplay trailer shows us

Besides the usual heroic speeches in the background of the trailer, we can take a first look at the in-game graphics of Modern Warfare 3. Especially in the dark passages of the trailer, the light and shadow effects are quite something, especially when gun action is added. One thing is for sure, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be just as cinematic and staged on a Hollywood level as its predecessors.

As locations for the action we see a prison island, a platform on the high seas, underwater operations in the icy sea as well as the interior of an aircraft at the end of the trailer. This is also where the mic drop moment of the trailer takes place. Into his mobile phone, an apparent terrorist types “No Russian”. An iconic phrase in the Call of Duty franchise and a reference to the legendary mission with villain Makarov from Modern Warfare 2, the suspense is building as to how this all ties together and what the actual storyline of the next shooter blockbuster from Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games will be. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released on Friday, November 10, 2023.
