You are overwhelmed with the many settings options of Modern Warfare II? A CoD pro gives tips on how you should play MWII.

For PlayStation users, it finally started on 16 September. The Modern Warfare II beta brought thousands of players to spend the weekend in front of their TV. However, many new mechanics and setting options made the start more complicated than it needed to be for many players. YouTuber and CoD pro TheXclusiveAce has now shared his settings with the community in a video.

A lot of emotional stuff

Controller

After we have already introduced you to the new Weaponry we will now show you which settings you should choose in Modern Warfare II to get the most out of your gameplay. The settings and fine-tuning for your controller are particularly important. However, as TheXclusiveAce rightly mentions in his video right at the beginning, many settings are ultimately a matter of feeling, which everyone has to find for themselves.

TheXclusiveAce recommends:

  • Button Layout: Tactical
  • L1, L2 and R1, R2 Flip: disabled
  • Vibration and Trigger: disabled
  • Horizontal and vertical sensitivity: 7
  • ADS Multiplier: 0.70
  • Aim Assist: Standard

Graphic

Similarly with the graphics settings, but you should give preference to frames over beauty . So if in some situations you notice that you have dips or jerks, you should adjust the settings according to TheXclusiveAce’s suggestions.

TheXclusiveAce recommends:

  • World Motion Blur: disabled
  • Weapon Motion Blur: disabled
  • Film Grain: 0.00
  • On-Demand Texture Streaming: enabled
  • Depth of Field: disabled
  • FidelityFX: 50
  • FOV: 100
  • 3rd Person Field of View: 80

This is also and especially true for the PC version of Modern Warfare II, whose FPS are much more dependent on your hardware than on the PlayStation or the Xbox.

Another goal here is to make character models as visible as possible. By the way, motion blur and film grain should always be turned off, as they bring decisive disadvantages in multiplayer.

Sound

The main focus in the sound settings should be on the crotch sounds. As in many shooters, footsteps can decide over life and death in Modern Warfare II. Those who hear their opponent first and can align themselves accordingly have an enormous advantage.

  • Headphone Bass Boost
  • Personal Preference Rest Settings

The correct settings are almost tantamount to wallhacking in their effect. Headphones are an absolute must to stay competitive. TheXclusiveAce particularly recommends the “Headphone Bass Boost” setting. the rest of the settings are a matter of taste. He himself has both music and voices mostly turned down.
