Leakers find new images of the Pacific map Caldera. The final version comes with strong changes for the Secrets of the Pacific Warzone event.
Fans have been waiting a long time for the new Pacific-focused map in Warzone. Caldera is scheduled to be released in Battle Royale on December 9, with Call of Duty: Vanguard owner:ins able to access it a day early.
After all the time players:in have spent on Verdansk, the change of scenery is more than welcomed by the community. Most of the information known so far comes from the Secrets of the Pacific Warzone event, which shows a Caldera version that is significantly larger than the dwindling Verdansk map.
Additionally, there are several river courses on the map, promising potentially varied gameplay.
Looks like the final version of Caldera is quite different from this one seen in the Secrets of the Pacific Warzone event. 👀🤔
Previous leaks from @VGC_News stated the island was larger than Verdansk. Seems like these were true and the island was reduced in size over time. pic.twitter.com/X7wn2At4N5

The latest leaked images, however, show a completely different map. The river and water seem to have disappeared and the map has become smaller. Combined with a piece of land in the northwest that has been removed, the map no longer looks at all like the caldera we were previously shown.
These changes do not seem to upset the community, according to the comments. The players are simply happy about the possibility to explore new points of interest (POI), regardless of the map size. With names like Phosphor Mines and Ancient Structures, Caldera is likely to have some interesting new areas waiting for it.
