The Season 5 release for Black Ops: Cold War and Warzone was scheduled for 12 August. However, the update has been delayed but is coming this week.

Update 12.08.2021:

PlayStation players now have the opportunity to pre-download the update. The official Call of Duty Twitter account indicates that Season 5 will start one day later in BOCW and Warzone.

In this country, the update should be playable from 06:00 in the morning on Friday 13/08/2021. Activision says they’re just giving us an extra day for the old season. On our page you can already find first info about the new Battle Pass

Original post 11/08/2021:

It seems Activision has pushed back the start of the new season even further. The release was originally scheduled for 12 August. From 6am on 11 August you would have been able to pre-download the new update for Cold War. One day later, the update would have been released for Warzone. So far, however, it has not been made available.

The missing possibility to download the update in advance is not the only indication of a postponement. On the official website, the cover image for the new Season 5 has also been changed. Previously, the release date was 12 August, now it simply refers to a date within this week.

Many players are currently somewhat disillusioned by the lack of content and are eagerly awaiting the new update. Due to bugs or problems, it is possible that the new season will not be released until a few days later.
