We took a look at the new Warzone 2.0 update and summarised the most important changes for you.

The first update of Season 1 in Warzone 2.0 has solved several bug fixes as well as some audio problems of the game and generated the armour piercing ammunition. There’s also good news for lovers of weapon camouflage and we can finally put away the magnifying glass when looking for orders in BR mode.

Small but mighty

The first surprise of Update 1.11 lies in its size. Instead of having to download several gigabytes, as is usual with Warzone Caldera, the current update doesn’t even crack the one-gigabyte barrier.

In addition to general bug fixes, the developers have devoted special attention to the sound of Warzone 2.0. Several problems with incorrect sound, which arose in connection with the Season 1 update, have been solved.

Hopefully, particularly loud footsteps that seem to come from all directions at the same time will be a thing of the past.

The only change to weapons and their attachments was the armour piercing ammunition. For these, the damage multiplier against armoured opponents was removed. Especially in Battle Royale.

and DMZ mode, the ammunition thus becomes almost useless. In both modes, we encounter armoured opponents particularly frequently, while the nerf should have little impact on Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer.

You can find the full patch notes (here).

UI Improvements and BR Changes

The update also offers pleasant improvements for camo hunters. Thanks to a better overview of the different weapon camouflages, we can now scroll through the camouflages much faster and more clearly. Some in the community are already hoping that this is just the first of many changes to the UI of Modern Warfare 2/Warzone 2.0.

The developers have also made changes to the Battle Royale mode and, among other things, banned counter drones and tactical cameras from the buy stations. One change that should please everyone concerns the contracts and the phones in Warzone 2.0 to activate contracts. Until now, we needed a magnifying glass to find phones the size of a grain of rice.

After the update, this should finally come to an end and the contract phones should be much easier to discover.
