After the MG 82 dominated the action on Verdansk in Season 4, Raven Software is making some adjustments to the weapon in the next CoD: Warzone Patch.
The MG 82 is how many players got their start in Call of Duty: Warzone at the beginning of Season 4. But the weapon dominated Verdansk and will therefore be disarmed in the next update.
With the Season 4 changes, the MG 82 became one of the most popular weapons on Verdansk. In addition to the fastest rate of fire, the rifle had almost no recoil and at the same time a high bullet velocity. This meant that enemies could be hit even from a great distance.
These attributes coupled with the nerfs of the CR-56 AMAX ensured that the MG 82 became the best primary weapon in the game. That Activison is now trying to adapt the weapon with some nerfs is therefore not surprising.

— Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) June 22, 2021
The exact changes are as follows:
– The maximum damage will be reduced from 30 to 29
– Minimum damage is reduced from 28 to 27
– The maximum damage range will be reduced by 20 percent
– Headshot multiplier is reduced from 1.3 to 1.2
– The upper chest multiplier is reduced from 1.1 to 1.0
– The limb multiplier is reduced from 1.0 to 0.9
– The vertical and horizontal recoil will be increased
Even though these nerfs are extensive, Raven Software believes that the weapon will still remain in the meta as its rate of fire will continue to be the best in the game.
