Players are complaining about the state of Call of Duty: Warzone on console. Reasons are bugs, crashes and the missing FOV slider.

Call of Duty: Warzone opened its doors to the new map Caldera on 8 December. Since then the game has been causing some problems on console.

Why are Warzone players complaining?

Warzone has been plagued by a number of bugs recently, most of which have been experienced by console users, as PC players are far less likely to report problems. One of the most annoying bugs is “Error 47”, which causes the game to fail to load on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Many people have complained about this problem on Reddit and it does seem to be widespread.

But this is far from the only relevant bug. Fans have reported problems with textures and trees on the new map, which seem to break more often than others. Another visual bug is that trees don’t render, while other gamers report broken camouflage on their weapons flickering all over the place.

Preferred treatment?

There are certainly other issues that have gotten in the way, with many fans accusing Warzone’s developers (and Activision) of giving preferential treatment to PC users. Recently, they pointed out the fact that there is still no FOV slider for consoles. For PC, however, there is, which gives users:inside an advantage.

We will have to wait and see if these issues are resolved, as the new map has certainly made the situation worse. With the holidays coming up and a lot of people playing the game on the console, it’s likely that more bugs will pop up.
