Reports suggest that Warzone cheaters have been denied access to the CoD: Vanguard open beta. This should be good news.
It is becoming apparent that cheaters could have a harder time in Call of Duty in the future. Reports of players whose ban in CoD Warzone has also led to a shadow ban in the new Call of Duty Vanguard are surfacing in scene circles and social media.
This suggests that the database of convicted cheaters is shared across games. Reports of cheaters complaining about a hardware ban are also piling up. So it is probably no longer enough to simply get a new account. Instead, Call of Duty recognises the hardware ID of the delinquent and henceforth excludes him from further play.

Looks like if you're HWID banned in Warzone, it carries over to Vanguard. Big W pic.twitter.com/n0Ng9pDD1T

What’s behind it?
Reports suggest that Activision’s more stringent measures against the cheater flood, especially in Call of Duty Warzone, could be bearing fruit. The publisher repeatedly reports that thousands of cheaters are banned every day.
At the same time, a new anti-cheat tool is being developed behind the scenes, which should ensure fair conditions on the battlefields in the future. How exactly this will work remains largely in the dark, presumably to avoid playing into the hands of cheat developers. But it is at least known that the new technology will be introduced with the Warzone integration of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Only time will tell how long the measures will bear fruit. Hardware bans can also sometimes be circumvented by so-called spoofers. These fake hardware IDs and thus enable cheaters to get back into the game. Spoofer can also disguise the real hardware ID during cheat use, so that HWID bans effectively come to nothing.
