An insider reveals suspected details about the future of Warzone after the release of CoD MW3 in November.
CoD Modern Warfare 3 hasn’t even been officially unveiled yet mountains of insider info and leaks about the shooter are already piling up.
Now the Twitch streamer Metaphor has made an exciting statement about the future of Warzone: According to him, a new map is coming – and it has a lot to offer!
What exactly does Metaphor say?
On (Twitter) (now known as X) the creator writes:
New warzone map coming in MW3 looks amazing, slide cancelling is in the current build (it was also in mw2 but removed)
No giant hill middle of the map, tons of buildings and pois unlike caldera, lots of areas that look memorable.
I think it will be a lot of peoples fav map.

There’s a new warzone map coming with MW3 […] and it looks fantastic. Unlike Caldera, there’s no huge hill in the middle, but there are heaps of buildings and interesting places that look memorable. I think it will become many people’s favourite map.
The insider further explains that the new map is very reminiscent of Verdansk Built into the map are said to be CoD classics like Overwatch (from the old MW3) and Countdown (from CoD 4).
What does this mean for Warzone?
If the claims are true, Warzone will return to its old strengths from the original launch of Warzone in 2020 from 2023 onwards. Among fans, Verdank is still considered a high point that Caldera from CoD Vanguard could not match.
Even the successor map Al Mazrah from Warzone 2 fell short in comparison. The leak puts many fans in a correspondingly positive mood: “I’m in,” (comments e-sportsman Faze Swagg).
Im in

How secure is the information?
It is important to view such leaks with a healthy dose of scepticism. Metaphor’s warzone info is neither official, nor can it be independently verified.
However, some highly reliable insiders like GhostofHope and BobNetworkUK reacted to the new info on Twitter, which speaks for its credibility.
It is already certain that Warzone 2 will drop the number from the title and thus be called simply Warzone again from the launch of CoD 2023 at the latest. For the first time Operator and unlocked weapons will be carried over from the predecessor
For example, if you unlock the new FR Avancer in Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 now you will also have it directly in the new MW3. New weapons will also be added, of course.
Reveal is now imminent
By the way, we won’t have to wait much longer for concrete information from Activision: A Reveal event has been promised for Season 5, which will take place in-game in Warzone as in previous years and finally bring details about Modern Warfare 3 to the table.
Release is planned for November, an Early Access phase for the story campaign is considered safe.
