The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta version is now available in the German PS-Store! When it will be released for the other platforms and what you need to know can be found here.
The open beta version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will start on October 8th. But already now some things are known about the upcoming content for the new game.
If you want to try out the game before the official release on November 13th, you will soon have the chance to do so! After the alpha version for PS4 players, an open beta will now be released on all platforms.
PlayStation dates
The first beta weekend is exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners and will run from Thursday 8 October to Monday 12 October. The game is available for download from PlayStation Store, so you can start playing right away.
– Pre-orderers can play the game from 08-09 October.
– For all others, content will not be activated until 10-12 October.
Note: If you’re using PlayStation 4 and pre-installing the beta on the first weekend, you won’t need to download it again on the second weekend. Players can also delete the alpha, as the beta is a completely different file and requires a new download.
Xbox and PC dates
Since the beta starts one week later than the PlayStation, the preload for the digital pre-orderers will also be activated late. Here these appear only on 13 October at 17:00 clock German time.
– From 15 – 16 October, players with a preload on the Xbox and PC platforms will also be able to play the beta version.
– For all those who have not pre-ordered, the beta will open on October 17 – 19.
All modes in the beta
The cold war beta is all about the multiplayer mode. This means that you should not hope to play parts of the single player campaign or anything from the Zombies mode.
These are the playable modes:
– Team Deathmatch
– Domination
– VIP Escort
– Kill Confirmed
– Combined Arms
Hammer Shotgun as gift
Those who reach level 10 in the beta will receive an exclusive shotgun as a gift when the official version is released!
