8 new maps

Season 4 includes a total of eight new maps across all modes of Warzone 2 and the main MW2 game. Here is an overview of the maps:

  1. Vondel (Warzone map, exclusive for DMZ/Resurgence)
  2. Showdown (6vs6 multiplayer, known from CoD 4)
  3. Kustenaar District (6vs6 multiplayer, new)
  4. Vondel Waterfront (6vs6 multiplayer, later in Season progression).
  5. Mercado (Gunfight)
  6. Penthouse (Gunfight)
  7. Mawizeh Marshlands (Ground War)
  8. Ahkdar Village (Ground War)

New Weapons

With the Tempus Razorback and the ISO 45 two new firearms come into play, plus a baton for close combat. The Razorback is based on the real-life Koratic VHS-2 Hellion, while the ISO 45 is modelled on the Brügger & Thomet APC45.

Major DMZ Upgrade

Besides the new Vondel map DMZ will be massively upgraded and improved in many places.

For example, you can now extract and hoard cash from the match, earn reputation with factions, take on new mission types and fight a vehicle boss enemy.

On Vondel, there will also be dynamic fog as a new weather effect. CoD expert Westie summarises all the DMZ new features:

The new Lockdown mode introduces a new way to play Warzone: Instead of being the last team to survive, certain capture zones on the map must be conquered and held. In regular multiplayer, on the other hand, new 12vs12 variants for Search and Destroy and Prisoner Rescue will be introduced.

In addition, there will be balance improvements, new gadgets and, of course, skins. As in Season 3, the Battle Pass will be offered with a separate Blackcell upgrade for an additional charge. The co-op raids will also be continued in the course of Season 4.
