CoD Modern Warfare 3: Will the beta progress be preserved? Good news and bad news

We tell you whether the progress from the beta weekends can be carried over into the final game and what else there is for particularly diligent testers.

For many first-person shooter fans, the recent weeks have been dominated by the beta weekends of the latest offshoot Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. But of course, despite all the fun, these still raise a question that needs to be answered:

Can the progress be carried over?

No, you can’t carry over anything you unlocked during the beta weekends into the final game. There you will be able to start playing multiplayer from 10 November, but from scratch like everyone else. From 2 November, the single player will already be available for pre-access.
There is, however, a consolation for the particularly committed beta users: a special skin.

Those who reach level 30 in the beta will receive the tester operator skin for Jabber in the finished game. Fittingly, this looks like a crash dummy. But let’s hope that at least your game ran stable at all times during the beta phase and did not crash towards the desktop.

Catchy but chic: It remains questionable, however, whether many will use the skin in the. At least if they are really serious about it. For the red colour is likely to be all too conspicuous on many maps and attract unwanted attention. But to show how much playing time has already been accumulated before the official release, the red male is certainly suitable.

What other rewards are there?

Even before you reach level 30, there are gifts, (as Dexerto reports)::

  • Appetite: Whet animated emblem – Unlock with level 2.
  • Operation Beta charm – Unlocked with level 7
  • Beta Tester calling card – Unlock with level 9
  • MW3 beta sticker – Unlock with level 11
  • Did the beta large decal – Unlock with level 16
  • Beta Ripper weapon blueprint – Unlock with level 20
  • Beta Proof weapon sticker – Unlock with level 25

So there are decoration options to show everyone that you have participated in the beta through your equipment. The Crash Dummy skin is the final reddish crowning glory for the most active.

In the video above, you can take a look at just how fancy the PC version of the new Modern Warfare 3 looks, and the following links to articles offer a wide-ranging look beyond the Call of Duty.

Have you played the latest installment of the legendary shooter series during the beta? Do you like it or have you found some rough edges that urgently need to be sanded down?
