You can jump into the battle of Modern Warfare 2 in just a few days – if you can get your hands on a beta key. We’ll tell you where you can still get your hands on the much sought-after codes.
The drought phase will soon come to an end. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released in just one month! But if you can’t wait any longer, then take advantage of the now upcoming beta to test the shooter in advance. If you want to be one of the first, you will need one of the rare keys. We’ll tell you where you can still get one.
You can still get keys here
A few influencers and websites are giving away the coveted keys. Who exactly and what you have to do for it, we summarise for you here:
- Comingsoon.net: The website is giving away 19 beta codes. You have to (retweet their tweet) retweet or (comment on their Facebook)-post comment. You have until 2am on 16 September, keys will be given away shortly before the beta launch on 16 September.
- MP1st: It is not known how many keys the website will distribute. You will receive a code if you comment under the article what you think is missing on the site and where it should improve. The codes will then be divided among the selected comments and you will receive your key by mail if applicable;
You can also win a code via the (Twitter account of MP1st) . How exactly this works has not yet been explained. So stay alert! - Erik Kain: The YouTuber is also giving away a few keys. But the offer also takes place on his (Facebook)- and (Twitter account) . Follow/subscribe him on the platforms and you can win a code. The more platforms you follow him on, the more likely you are to receive a key.
- Preorder: If you pre-order MW2, you can also participate in the beta.
When does the beta start on which platform?
For Playstation players, the closed beta (for which you need the keys) will start on 16 September, with the open beta starting on the 18th.
If you prefer to play MW2 on Xbox or PC, the closed beta starts on 22 September. On 24 September, everyone can play again until 26 September.
