CoD MW2: Playing the story unlocks these 18 rewards for multiplayer and Warzone 2

You want to earn operators and skins for the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2 and also Warzone 2? Then all you have to do is play the story campaign.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 there is an easy way to unlock skins and other rewards for multiplayer and Warzone 2: You simply have to fight your way through the story campaign. This way you will not only earn a few operators, but also a weapon blueprint and XP tokens.

In order to get multiplayer fans excited about the campaign, Infinity Ward wants to lure them into the single player with a few exclusive rewards. This isn’t necessarily something new, players have already been able to earn a handful of goodies for the multiplayer in 2019’s Modern Warfare storyline.

What exactly you can now unlock in the course of the story campaign for the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2 and also Warzone 2 can be found in the following list:

How to unlock the skins, XP tokens and more

You unlock the different rewards for the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 by completing certain missions. For example, if you have your sights set on a selected skin, you don’t necessarily have to play through the entire story campaign if you don’t feel like it.

However, there is also an exclusive reward for completing the single player: the Union Guard weapon blueprint is only available if you have completed all the levels.

How many hours will I need to complete the campaign? At the moment, developer Infinity Ward has not officially commented on this. Considering previous CoDs and the direct predecessor to Modern Warfare 2, fans can probably expect a playing time of around six to eight hours.

When do we actually start?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on 28 October 2022 for PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, those who pre-order the game will be able to get their hands on the single-player campaign a week earlier. The official date communicated for this is 20 October, but in Germany it will probably be 21 October.
