A new story trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard gives an insight into the campaign of the shooter. The protagonists are introduced in the process.
Activision and Sledgehammer Games released a new trailer for the story of Call of Duty: Vanguard on Monday. It gave some glimpses of the characters and missions of the game, which will be released on November 5.
Though the CoD series is primarily played in multiplayer mode, the campaign has a very high value among fans. The trailer features a lot of interesting characters and locations. Additionally, Activision shared a blogpost on Monday with more information about the protagonists.
Sergeant Arthur Kingsley
Kingsley is the leader and is referred to as the heart of Task Force One. Born in Cameroon, studied in England at Cambridge University, he speaks five different languages. Kingsley fights ironically against the Nazis to protect his homeland.
Lieutenant Polina Petrova
Polina Petrova is described as the best female sniper in the Soviet Union who wants nothing but revenge. She grew up in Stalingrad and therefore became a soldier not by choice but by sheer necessity.
Private Lucas Riggs
Lucas Riggs is the son of an Australian shepherd family and now an expert in destruction and explosions. Riggs is considered a gentle giant by his allies, but has problems with authority. To opponents, he comes across as a brutal warrior.
Lieutenant 1st Class Wade Jackson
Wade Jackson is an excellent pilot who always wants to show off his flying skills. He is described as self-centred and believes that he can handle everything. The rebellious hothead has had training in the Navy’s cadet programme, where he learned how to master Stukas.
Sergeant Richard Webb
Webb is Kingsley’s right-hand man and close friend. He joined the army reluctantly and sees no particular honour in the task. Accordingly, he does not rush headlong into risks, but prepares himself cautiously for danger.
SS Colonel Group Leader Hermann Wenzel Freisinger
The major antagonist in Vanguard is Nazi officer Hermann Wenzel Freisinger, who is the SS’s leading interrogation officer and the secret architect behind the mysterious Project Phoenix. He is described as ruthless and charismatic, manipulating his victims until they reveal everything to him.
In addition to the protagonists, the trailer also shows glimpses of the various locations, which will presumably also be relevant to the missions. Leaker Tom Henderson confirmed that the scene with the drowning parachutist is Kingsley’s D-Day mission.
