A particularly interesting glitch caused all participants to fight on the same side in Battle Royale.
A huge co-op round instead of a brutal Battle Royale: This is exactly what a particularly interesting bug in Call of Duty: Warzone led to. Instead of ending up on different teams as intended, suddenly everyone was playing for the same team – which led to a lot of laughter and chaos. But who actually wins when nobody fights?
All players on one team
This happened: At a private Warzone tournament, participants were getting ready for a round of Warzone – weapons loaded, heartbeat sensors calibrated. But a few seconds after the match started, there was a big surprise: all the players were assigned to the same team. Normally, you are only on the road as a four-man squad at most, but apparently an extremely curious bug struck here.
If you want to know what it sounds like when question marks pop up over a hundred heads, then take a look at the wonderfully chaotic clip from participant Devious:
OUR GAME JUST GLITCHED AND PUT THE ENTIRE LOBBY ON ONE TEAM LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL pic.twitter.com/oO0dXzyV3n

The consequences for the match: almost all players jump off at the same time to the hospital marked by the squad leader. Normally, only your own team members can be heard, but in this case the entire lobby is talking in confusion.
There is no friendly fire in Warzone, so all participants were condemned to peace. It would probably still have been possible to collect points through certain missions, but they would all have been credited to the only team. Unfortunately, the match was ended rather quickly, without finding out how one could actually win that way: According to Devious, all participants left the round directly again.
Warzone and the Bugs
Although this glitch is apparently extremely rare, the Battle Royale is not lacking in curious bugs – for example, players could play dead, turn invisible or disappear under the map. In the meantime, such bugs are usually quickly fixed by developer Raven Software.
With the release of CoD Vanguard, everything is supposed to get better – thanks to a new map, new anti-cheat and an engine adjustment. Excellent news, says expert Steffi:
Will such crazy bugs in Warzone finally be a thing of the past? Probably not, but we’ll keep you posted.
