Call of Duty Warzone World Record

With 143 kills, a team in Call of Duty: Warzone claims to have beaten the current record in quad mode. But there are doubts about the legitimacy.

In January 2021, the seemingly unbeatable world record in the quad mode of Call of Duty: Warzone was broken. A team of four players managed to finish off almost all players from a lobby of 150 participants. However, there is criticism: At the moment, it is not yet one hundred percent clear whether the world record was really done right.

The current world record: 143 kills

Achieving 138 kills with four players in one match was the previous world record in Call of Duty: Warzone. It took a little more than half a year, but it was broken on January 11, 2021. The team consisting of players TheMylesLive, JerK, ScummN and Stukawaki achieved five more kills: a total of 143 out of 146 opponents.

The video embedded above shows the feat in Warzone’s Quad mode.

How did they achieve the record?

The team went into Warzone’s quad mode and relied primarily on the two weapons that are considered particularly strong: The DRM and MAC-10. To do this, the four players were well attuned to each other and communicated efficiently. This allowed them to always have the upper hand.

The total of 143 kills were distributed among the individual members as follows:

  • Stukawaki: 48 kills
  • SummN: 43 kills
  • TheMylesLive: 27 kills
  • JerK: 25 Kills

Can the record still be beaten? The two weapons that the four players rely on have been toned down via patches since their record. But even with the criticized OP variants, the old record of 138 kills seemed unbeatable. After all, you have to kill almost the entire lobby in a team for that.

Without these strong weapons, this record now seems even more unbeatable than before. What exactly the last patch changed, you can read here:

Partial criticism of the record

In the comments on YouTube, there is strong criticism of the players. Many users explain the record by saying that the level of the winning team was much higher than that of their opponents. The accusation is that the match took place in a so-called “bot lobby” – a controversial method for competing specifically against low-skill players. Cheat accusations also occur.

Matchmaking can be circumvented: Entering a corresponding lobby is not impossible. Players recently found a method to bypass skill-based matchmaking in order to play in low-level lobbies.

Criticism of older records too? The old record of 138 kills was also criticized in some cases. At that time, however, it was to a lesser extent.
