Call of Duty Warzone gets a new map with Season 1. We explain which tactics will bring you victory.
Call of Duty: Warzone will get the new map Rebirth Island with Season 1 of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War on December 16, 2020. Now the developer presents it in detail. Not only will you get a detailed overview of the map, but you’ll also learn how to use the island’s geography to your advantage.
This is what you can find on Rebirth Island
The area offers a total of 32 interesting points. Starting with a bioweapons lab in the north, a prison block and a factory, to barracks and a security area in the south, you’ll have to adjust to a wide variety of environments.
- Elevated ground in the center: The entire island is characterized by very uneven terrain. The highest point is in the center of the map near the headquarters and the prison block. Areas such as the chemistry lab and even the barracks, on the other hand, are just above sea level.
- The border of the map: Although Rebirth Island is an island, this doesn’t mean that the map ends abruptly at the beach. Especially for the helicopter flight it is important to know that you can also fly above the sea in front of the coast.
- Short distances thanks to the cable car: There is a cable car between the prison block and the dock, which allows you to quickly move back and forth between the two areas. However, you will have little protection for the duration of the journey and will have difficulty avoiding attackers.
- Secret way into the jail: There is an underground entrance that leads from the coast north of the jail to the shower of the reformatory. This is ideal for surprising your opponents.

How to fight on Rebirth Island
- Secure a hill: Like Obi-Wan on Mustafar, you should rely on elevated ground on Rebirth Island to give you an important advantage. After all, fighting uphill is much more difficult than shooting enemies from the safety of a hill.
- Fighting Snipers: If your opponent keeps the mound in the middle, you can use two windows on the fourth floor of the chemistry lab to your advantage and fire on the prison block and the water tower from there. Alternatively, use the ropes on the side of the prison to quickly get to the roof and surprise any campers.
- Third Party Paradise: There will be very frequent battles between more than just two parties on the island. This can work not only to your disadvantage. Wait until a fight ends and then take care of the already weakened survivors.
- Fighting from cover: Near the barracks there is an area with numerous tents, which offers you particularly good cover. Here you are protected from attacks from the prison, the barracks and also the surveillance tower. In addition, you’ll find a lot of loot here to equip yourself better.
More tips on Call of Duty
- Mastering Mechanics: Victory in Battle Royale mode depends not only on your knowledge of the map and your reflexes, but also on how well you understand the rest of the game’s mechanics. If you want to improve, we’ll help you with some general tips on Warzone.
- Stay flexible: It is also important that you keep adapting to new circumstances. Patches and updates constantly change the game and its weapons, so you should change your loadout more often. For example, with the start of Season 1, 30 new weapons will be added to Warzone.
Use Prestige Keys now: Until now, you could only collect Prestige Keys, but not redeem them. With the start of Season 1, that changes! You can use them to buy classic emblems from previous CoD parts.
