Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a new map on 8 December with Caldera. Now the last hours of the old map are running. We provide you with all the info on the events.
Verdansk is about to end. And this time there is more behind it than just a reskin with a more colourful coat of paint: the familiar map of Call of Duty: Warzone will soon take its last walk to the map graveyard, on 8 December 2021 the new Caldera map will rise from the Pacific. But before that, there’s a big event to say goodbye. We have all the info on the last hours of Verdansk
Let’s be clear once again: You only have a few more days – until 8 December to be exact – to play on Verdansk. After that, the map will disappear – a return is uncertain. So if you want to land on the airport tower again or entrench yourself in the mines, you should take your last chance now. By the way: Rebirth Island will still be there for you!

Operation Flashback
When? This limited mode started on 18 November and runs until 8 December.
What happens? In this mode, the developers bring back numerous memories of earlier times. And it’s pretty chaotic and turns out just a tiny bit unbalanced. Because in the course of this mode, just about all events and available items from the last two years of Warzone return. What does this look like in concrete terms? Every time you start a new gas circle, a new event begins, which makes the Battle Royale gameplay very dynamic and absolutely unpredictable.
For your participation, you can earn two limited rewards:
- An emblem of the event
- An animated calling card when you win a match
Secrets of the Pacific
When? On 24 November, the second Verdansk Farewell event launched – with an intermittent technical hiccup. However, after being deactivated for a short time, the event is available again and players can participate until 8 December 2021.
What happens? This event is to prepare you for the launch of Caldera, the new Pacific map. You will learn more about the history of the new location. Gradually, information about the map will arrive in Warzone, which you will need to secure. In these challenges, you’ll have to protect artefacts from Caldera, for example, and if you win, you’ll receive information about the new important locations on the map.

The Last Hours of Verdansk
When? The Last Hours of Verdansk event starts on 6 December 2021 at 7pm German time and runs for approximately 24 hours.
What happens? The event includes a new playlist with the same name. Here you have to collect secret information and reach a bunker below the city at the end. If you manage to get a win, you will not only get a plane skin and a limited Calling Card, but you will also get to see a short teaser trailer with clips of the new Pacific map:
The Destruction of Verdansk
When? On November 30, the end of Verdansk was ushered in with an in-game countdown that will expire on December 8, 2021.
What happens? This time Verdansk will not survive its destruction. Exactly how the map will be blown up is not yet clear – we’ve had a nuclear explosion before. The developers promise, however, that it will be spectacular.
