Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 hasn’t shown any gameplay yet, but pro gamer Nadeshot already has high expectations for the shooter.
Until Modern Warfare 3 is released on November 10, 2023, there will likely be numerous trailers, gameplay videos, developer blogs, and maybe even a beta phase to come. However, Nadeshot, the former professional CoD player and CEO of Esports organization 100 Thieves, is already confident that many fan requests will be fulfilled in the new Call of Duty.
What will be different?
After the last year published Modern Warfare 2 was still developed by Infinity Ward, the successor is now again the studio Sledgehammer Games. And this time at least according to rumors, some things will be done differently . For example, the CoD experts from (CharlieIntel) summarize which features are allegedly planned that were not in Modern Warfare 2:
So far, the rumors about MW3:
– Will feature MW2 2009 MP maps
– Red dots on Mini Map
– Reload Cancel returns
– Slide Cancel returns
– Ninja returns as Perk (Gear)
– Perks will be “Gear
– War mode will return
– Outbreak Zombies mode pic.twitter.com/IPxqwIc7zQ– CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) August 7, 2023
- Enemy soldiers should again be displayed as red dots on the minimap when using weapons without silencers.
- Also
Reload Cancel
andSlide Cancel
shall return. Skilled players will be able to reload faster and aim easier after sliding. - The Perk
Ninja
shall be available again. This one allows you to not be displayed on enemy heartbeat sensors. In the Pro version, it also made your movements quieter.
You bring it all back
For Nadeshot, all of this is a very good sign after harshly criticizing Modern Warfare 2 for its lack of the above features. In (a video) he made reference to the rumors and said:
Basically, they’re taking all the things people loved in the original Warzone, and the sweaty mechanics from the core CoD, and bringing them back. It’s the best thing they could have done.
While Sledgehammer had also been criticized in the past, the developers would give us everything we asked for
Whether the features Nadeshot longed for will actually return has yet to be confirmed, of course. However, after Modern Warfare 2 took a lot of criticism for its design choices, it’s entirely possible that they’ll want to accommodate fans’ wishes.
What do you think of the rumors surrounding Modern Warfare 3? Would you be happy to see the return of the red dots on the minimap, or did you like Modern Warfare 2’s approach better? How do you feel about mechanics like reload and slide cancelling? And what are your biggest wishes for the new Call of Duty? Feel free to post it in the comments!
