The new Trophy Hunt event starts with Season 3. We tell you everything you need to know about it.
In addition to the long-awaited comeback of the Loot Money mode in Warzone 2, we have a limited time event coming up at the start of Season 3 that is especially rewarding for hardworking players and has the potential to make your inventory burst with items and blueprints.
Trophy Hunter
The Trophy Hunt event will launch along with the release of Season 3 on April 12 and will be active for a limited time until the release of the Season 3 Reloaded update.
During this time, we will have the opportunity to grab trophies in any Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 mode, which we can exchange for rewards, some of which are rare.

Among the items are blueprints, calling cards, XP boosters and operator skins. The event is explained in a relatively simple way, but differs slightly in the different game modes of MW2 and Warzone 2.
Better safe than sorry in MW2 and Warzone 2
Modern Warfare 2
In MW2”s classic, non turn-based modes, such as TDM, Domination or Stance, eliminated enemies drop confirmed tokens similar to those in Launch mode, which we can pick up to secure a trophy.
In turn-based game modes such as Search & Destroy or Prisoner Rescue, it is sufficient to kill your enemies without having to collect a token afterwards.
Warzone 2 & DMZ
Those who plan to go trophy hunting in Warzone 2 will have to do things a little differently to secure the precious coins. Similar to Modern Warfare 2, enemy players drop tokens in Warzone 2, but they must be secured at Buy Stations.
If you die beforehand, the coins you have collected in the match up to that point are lost and you have to start from scratch. If you win a round, you keep your trophies too, of course.
The situation is similar in the DMZ, where you also have to secure your coins through Buy Stations or Exfiltration.
By the way, AI enemies also drop tokens. So it might be worth taking a lap through the DMZ to secure as many trophies as quickly and easily as possible.
After you have unlocked 10 items, you will receive an operator skin as an additional reward, after 15 items you will receive another one.
- “Nightsting” TAQ-56 Weapon Blueprint
- “Venom Strike” AR Weapon Blueprint
- Operator Skin 1: 10 Trophies
- Operator Skin 2: 15 Trophies
Excess trophies will be automatically converted to XP at the end of the event and credited to your profile.
