Ashika Island will be the new Warzone 2 map
First teaser announces new map: The new map was teased by the (official Twitter channel of Call of Duty) on January 30, 2023. The short video clip shows a marble rolling through sand, forming Japanese characters that mean the word Seelöwe
in German.

This is what is known so far: The teased map goes by the name of Ashika Island and will be the hub of the so-called Resurgence game mode for Call of Duty: Warzone 2. This means that fans can expect a smaller map in the style of Rebirth Island and Fortune”s Keep.
The teaser also confirms previous leaks and rumours that Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will return to a Japanese setting. After a postponement, Season 2 and with it Ashika Island will hit on February 15, 2023.

Full Reveal to follow With the first teaser, it was immediately announced that the full reveal of Ashika Island will follow today, 31 January 2023. When exactly this will happen, however, remains to be seen at the moment. We will of course stay tuned and let you know as soon as we find out more about the new resurgence map.
The most important info about Warzone 2: Season 2
Season 2 for Warzone 2 and also Modern Warfare 2 will start on 15 February 2023. We already know a few changes: Many elements and features of the first Warzone will return, such as the well-known loot system or the 1v1 gulag.
At the same time, personal perks can be used in Battle Royale and personal loadouts cost less at purchase stations. Last but not least, waistcoats again basically have three slots for armour plates and players can sprint through doors again when docking. Of course, further weapon and balancing changes are also in the pipeline – we should find out more by 8 February at the latest.
