Warzone players can look forward to two serious changes: The latest patch fixes the Infinite Stim glitch and weakens the DMR-14 once again.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently suffering from massive problems. Two of the most serious ones are now being addressed with the latest patch: The infamous “Infinite Stim Glitch” and (for the second time) the overpowered DMR-14. Find out everything about the changes here.

The most important info about the new Warzone patch

Infinite Stim Glitch fixed

Season 1 brought Warzone back a bug that was actually fixed once before: The Infinite Stim Glitch. We already reported about what fatal consequences the game bug entailed, but here is a compact summary again.

The stim glitch caused players to exploit an exploit to heal themselves infinitely often and for a long time. As a result, players could, for example, walk through the deadly gas on the map without hesitation and thus cheat themselves a game-changing advantage.

With the latest patch, this problem is now (once again) a thing of the past – and let’s hope it stays that way. These game scenes show how the exploit looks in action:

(Second) Nerf for the DMR-14

Another problem that the latest Warzone patch addresses is the overpowered DMR-14: The precision rifle met with criticism from many players in recent weeks and has already been generated in the course of a balance update – but that still didn’t go far enough.

With the right loadout, the DMR-14 had almost no recoil, while the damage was so high that two hits were often enough for a kill. Since the last balance update only lowered the headshot damage, other problems of the DMR-14 remained.

The DMR-14 from Black Ops: Cold was one of the most powerful weapons in Warzone. Only time will tell how the precision rifle will perform after the latest patch.

Now, however, the new patch attacks just about all of the precision rifle’s stats: The general damage of the DMR-14 has been drastically reduced, while the recoil after several fired shots is much more noticeable. In addition, the headshot damage has been lowered once again, while body damage is no longer quite as severe.

All in all, a bug seems to have been to blame for the DMR-14’s superiority: The precision rifle was probably dealing damage on the scale of a sniper rifle rather than an assault rifle. This bug has also been addressed in the latest Warzone patch.
