The streamer and Youtuber JGOD demonstrates the art of the Aim Assist in Call of Duty: Warzone. With his clip, the CoD star triggers downright astonishment on Reddit and other platforms.
The Aim Assist in Call of Duty: Warzone is not a new feature, but a fixed part of the game. However, only console players can access this function and have an aim assist that can enable an advantage over PC players at short to medium range. However, because the well-known Youtuber JGOD posted a clip on Reddit on Tuesday demonstrating the extreme power of the Aim Assist, a heated discussion has erupted.
In his video, JGOD shows off the fast reaction time of the Aim Assist. Although the CoD and Warzone expert doesn’t press a button on the controller, the weapon shoots down when an enemy falls down from the roof. The crosshairs seem to be stuck to the enemy
Meanwhile, JGOD’s Reddit clip has been decorated with more than 2,600 upvotes, while the comments section has been inundated with wars of words. There is also a lot of discussion on his Twitter channel.
“As a mouse and keyboard player, I feel bad,” writes user “JesusLovesSatan”, among others, about the Aim Assist, for which he receives lively encouragement. Other commenters like “IwannaBeAbhorred”, however, counter the strength of the Aim Assist: “I feel like my Aim Assist failed quite often with the controller. It feels much more precise with a mouse and keyboard.”
Aim Assists in console shooters are a familiar issue. Originally, they are supposed to make up for the disadvantage compared to the better controls on PC, but in execution this usually feels like a legal Aimbot. In the Battle Royale Fortnite, this also caused difficulties and disputes in the community for years. Epic Games had addressed this problem several times.
In CoD: Warzone, those responsible at Activision and Raven Software have so far not allowed themselves to be carried away into changing the system. New information is coming about the upcoming title Vanguard and could bring further insight.
