With Season 1, Call of Duty: Warzone heralds a small reboot that starts on November 2024, simultaneously bringing many mechanics from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 into Battle Royale. We’ll show you the most important new features and changes.

Integration of Black Ops 6: Omnimovement and new weapons
By integrating the Black Ops 6 mechanics, you get access to the so-called Omnimovement system, which is taken from the latest series installment. This allows you to move in all directions, regardless of where you are looking, and to turn 360 degrees while lying down.
In addition, over 40 new weapons are coming to the game, including familiar models like the XM4 assault rifle and the Krig C, as well as new additions like the Maelstrom shotgun, which will not be released until a later Reloaded update.
In total, Season 1 gives you access toa total of 170 weapons and over 150 operators, spanning the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series. Also new to Black Ops 6 is the loadout system, which features a specialized melee weapon slot, three perks to choose from, and the option of a wildcard for powerful talents.
New maps: Area 99 and the comeback of Urzikstan

In addition, the Urzikstan mapis returning, which Warzone veterans will be familiar with. Both maps are initially available in Resurgence, Battle Royale and Plunder modes. Rebirth Island is also being reactivated for a short period during the season launch.
Prestige system and Mastery camos
A highlight for many Warzone fans will be the new prestige system, which is based on the classic rank advancement of the CoD multiplayer. After reaching level 55, you can unlock Prestige levels and receive exclusive rewards.
For those of you who like to complete cosmetic challenges, the Mastery Camos are an exciting new feature. To unlock the four Mastery camos, you must complete the following challenges:
- Gold Tiger: Obtain all nine military camos and two special camos for a weapon, and then complete the corresponding camouflage challenge.
- King’s Ransom: Unlock the Gold Tiger camouflage for multiple weapons in the same category (e.g. seven assault rifles) and complete the respective camouflage challenge.
- Catalyst: Complete the Kings Ransom camouflage for 33 weapons and complete the specific camouflage challenge.
- Abyss:; Unlock Catalyst camouflage for 33 weapons and complete the corresponding camouflage challenge.
Quality-of-Life-Improvements
With the start of Season 1 on November 14, 2024, Call of Duty: Warzone introduces a number of improvements to make your life easier.
For one thing, the inventory system has been greatly simplified: the previous backpack has been eliminated and replaced with a clear inventory bar. In addition, there are now satchels to find – small bags that increase the carrying capacity of armor or ammunition.
