Iron Trials '84 makes Warzone better

Call of Duty: Warzone has a new mode called Iron Trials 84 that finally addresses player requests and focuses on skill.

The new Iron Trials ’84 mode implements many gameplay elements that players have been wanting for a long time. Among other things, the developers are testing strict adjustments to loadout drops and giving players significantly more life.

Publisher Activision, together with developer Raven Software, released the new Iron Trials ’84 mode on Wednesday. Unlike a regular Warzone match, operators start with 250 points of base life – 2.5 times the amount. With additional plates, the life is even increased to 400. So it takes a lot of clean shots to take down an opponent or to be taken out yourself.

The increased life also means that snipers can no longer kill with one shot. Thus, no one needs to run the risk of dying out of the blue. This in turn increases the potential playing time with more chances for everyone. In addition, players can fall much further from a height without receiving any damage.

The brand new mode is supposed to give a foretaste of the Ranked competition in Warzone. For Raven Software itself writes of Iron Trials ’84 being intended for players “who consider themselves a true tier one operator”. Especially for the competition-oriented, a new challenge should be given. Each operator starts with a .44 Magnum revolver and a sledgehammer.

Shorter round times for more dynamics

Although the game principle in the Battle Royale remains the same, special changes in Iron Trials ’84 affect the overall action. Because according to Raven Software, the round timers are reduced by twelve percent and the reduction of the map is increased by twelve percent. In total, a match will be shortened by almost two minutes.

Furthermore, there will be no free loadout drops. During the match, you will have to pay well in order to assemble your own improved arsenal of weapons. The only vehicles available are dirt bikes and ATVs.

The type and manner of the loot as well as the spawn rate of epic and legendary weapons will also change. All in all, Raven Software is bringing a breath of fresh air to the Warzone game in order to offer new challenges to seasoned veterans.
