Season 2 in Call of Duty: Warzone begins. The update changes the Battle Royale and brings new locations (POIs), vehicles and game modes.

The Battle Royale shooter CoD: Warzone is undergoing some rapid changes. Many of the in-game items have been reworked, while the weapons that can be found on the ground have also been rebalanced. Thus, some are easier or harder to find. But especially the new tanks and fighter planes (bombers) will really shake up the game.

The dangerous gas “Nebula V” will be used as ammunition and bomb and thus change a lot of the gameplay of Warzone. The area fogged by it will gradually finish off the operators inside. To save yourself from the poison, you will also be able to find suitable decontamination stations.

The bombers will be the second type of aircraft in Battle Royale and will drop explosives from the airspace accordingly. During the Season, a tank (Armoured Transport) will also roll over the Caldera area, which can be defeated and should drop lots of loot. There are also more NPCs that drop valuable equipment.

A brand new Point of Interest (PoI) is the Chemical Plant, which was created from the refinery between the mines and docks in the north of the map. Other new PoIs are the research laboratories, which, like the factory, are guarded by NPCs.

The new Limited Time Mode for the start of Season 2 is called Caldera Clash. A total of 48 operators will fight for victory in teams of two. The battle is fought with the own loadout, respawns are active. The more kills, the more points are awarded in Caldera Clash. The Rebirth Reinforced mode was also announced and will follow a little later.

Another important change in the patch notes is the famous equipment Dead Silence. This is now classified as “legendary” orange loot, making it a little harder to get. The final deadly circle is also now less likely to end at the top of Caldera. Finally, the new patch has disabled planes in the solo queue in all modes (for now).

The full patch notes from February 14 can be seen on developer Raven Software’s (official website). Monday’s update for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone takes up between 13.7 and 15.5 gigabytes of memory, depending on the platform.
