In addition to the single player campaign, the Call of Duty games also offer several multiplayer modes. CDL pro Simp explains how you can best master these modes.
On 1 August, the Call of Duty League will kick off the finals of the 5th Major at 11 pm on ProSieben MAXX. We had the chance to talk to Atlanta FaZe pro Chris “Simp” Lehr in advance about the CDL, the path to becoming a pro and the best strategies in the CDL modes.
The latter are especially important for aspiring esport players. Modes such as Position or Search and Destroy are also played by the pros in the Call of Duty League.
CoD is not a one-man show
In multiplayer, as the name suggests, you play together with other players. So team play is particularly important here – especially in the Ranked mode League Play. “In casual play, you can do whatever you want. You can’t do that in competitive Call of Duty,” Simp explains.
League Play is finally here – Here’s how the new Cold War mode works
According to the CDL pro, first-person players have no place in multiplayer modes. You should therefore keep an eye on your team and, if possible, not rush ahead alone. No matter whether you play with friends or unknown users – if you live good teamwork, you will reach the goal faster. Simp knows that too:
You will achieve more together than alone. […] Always try to do the best for your team, to win together and don’t make the match a one-man-show.
The FaZe player knows a lot about good teamwork, as his team is currently leading the CDL rankings. They have already qualified for the championship on 22 August. You can follow how Simp and Co. do there on ProSieben MAXX. There will already be a foretaste on 1 August, also live on TV from 11 pm.
