There are new details about the gameplay and map of Warzone 2. A professional CoD player gives insights into the new Battle Royale from Call of Duty.
Hardly a day goes by without news about leaked MW2 content. However, there are considerably fewer leaks about the new Warzone offshoot. Especially the gameplay and the mechanics are important for the players. However, new insights could lower some of the concerns of the player base and answer common questions.
Gameplay Details
The Call of Duty pro and content creator Metaphor has apparently already been able to play Warzone 2 and gives first insights in a Twitter post. There he answers some questions from the community and reveals first details about the gameplay. You can follow the tweet here:

A Reddit user then summarised the key points and published them in a post:

So Metaphor says that the new CoD and Warzone play more like the original Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare. New mechanics like the slide cancel would thus be dropped. This should be positive news for many gamers, as controller players in particular found the slide-cancel mechanic very annoying.
The pro also gives insights into the new warzone map and mentions that it will not resemble Verdansk. Instead, the map will be more open and inspired by Caldera and Blackout.

The entire layout of the new map was revealed some time ago by well-known leaker Tom Henderson. A fan then posted an image of what the map might look like:
