Will we soon get daily login rewards in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2? A leak now gives reason to hope.

Leaks suggest that we can soon expect daily login rewards in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Besides cosmetic improvements, we can dust off XP boosters and even a blueprint. We took a look at the whole thing and tell you what’s true about the rumours.

Faithfulness pays off

If you are one of those players who only start Warzone 2 every few days or after a new update, you might miss out on something after the release of Season 4 Reloaded. As a leak has now revealed, the developers are apparently planning to introduce daily login rewards with the mid-season update.

The well-known CoD leaker (@TastForceLimg) has posted an image on Twitter showing a screenshot with seven different login rewards. As it looks, the rewards are divided into seven days of the week and can be collected one after the other.

The rewards range from calling cards and skins to XP boosters and emblems. Those who have logged in for all seven days will even receive a rare M4 weapon blueprint at the end.

Desperation Act?

Even though daily login rewards are a common way to motivate a community to get more involved with the game and bring back players who rarely or never play anymore, in the case of Warzone 2, given the poor player numbers, it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Although the player count has recovered somewhat recently, it still bobs around on (Steam at just under 66,000) which is a disastrous number for a game like Warzone 2.

In a hearing before the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) regarding Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard, CEO Bobby Kotick announced that approximately 100 million people play Call of Duty each month.

Those who took a closer look quickly noticed, however, that the lion’s share of it is ballooning across the screen in the mobile games sector and is not to be found in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

It remains to be seen whether one or the other will be lured by the rewards, and in the end it can’t matter to the players whether the action is an act of desperation on the part of the developers or not, since they will profit from it in the end in any case.
