New Warzone old glitch? The gas mask glitch makes its unwelcome comeback in Warzone 2 and annoys the community in Ranked mode
Bugs and glitches were already a big problem in Warzone Caldera and often led to frustrated players. Actually, everything was supposed to get better with the release of Warzone 2 and the annoying bugs were finally put to an end. However, as the new old gas mask glitch shows, many bugs were passed on to the Warzone Caldera successor.
New Warzone, old glitch
As if Ranked mode didn’t have enough problems, a glitch well known to Warzone veterans is causing further trouble. The gas-mask glitch has been wreaking havoc in Warzone since 2020 and was apparently passed on like a disease to its successor, Warzone 2.

The first time the bug appeared in Warzone 2 was shortly after release. Many players thought that the annoying glitch had finally been fixed after various patches and updates, but they were wrong. As a short clip on Twitter now shows, the bug is probably back in Warzone 2.
The whole thing is particularly annoying in the new Ranked mode, in which precious SR points can be at stake, which can decide about promotion or relegation to another skill group.

Error simply taken over?
With Warzone 2, the community was promised a fresh new start away from the many bugs and glitches that made its predecessor temporarily unplayable. As is well known, things turned out differently and already at the launch of Warzone 2 the Battle Royale shooter struggled with dozens of partly serious bugs.
The well-known gas mask glitch even made it into Warzone 2 and spoiled the games for the players, especially in Ranked mode.
The fact that the bug was already present in Warzone Caldera and was apparently simply carried over into Warzone 2 frustrates many players and raises the question of how much new there really is in Warzone 2.

It remains to be seen when a patch will finally be released to fix the bug, after all, reports of the bug finally being fixed have been doing the rounds since 2020. Until then, players can only hope that their opponents do not know how the glitch is triggered.
