After updates, players are often unable to start Warzone or the game crashes. We show you how to fix one of the most common errors
Dev Error 5573 is a code that you often encounter after the game crashes. Depending on which platform you are on, there are different approaches to fixing the problem.
PC: Check installation and update graphics card drivers
The error may be caused by corrupt game data that sneaked onto your hard drive during one of the updates. To get rid of this, you need to check the installation in the Battle.net launcher and have it repaired.
To do this, simply select Warzone (or Cold War) in the launcher and click on the gear next to the “Play” button. A tab will open with the option “Scan and repair”. Execute this option and follow the instructions on the screen.
If the problem persists, you may also need to update your graphics card drivers. To do this, open your Nvidia or AMD software and check for new updates. If there are any available, you only need to download and install them. Also check whether you have installed the latest Windows updates. If you have done both, the error should no longer occur.
PS4: Check updates and rebuild database
There are similar ways to repair the error on the console. First, check that you have installed all the latest updates and that everything has been installed successfully.
If everything is up to date at this point and the error still occurs, you may need to rebuild your database. This is a similar process to scanning and repairing on your PC. To do this, switch off the console and start it in safe mode. To do this, hold down the power button until the PlayStation beeps twice. Connect your controller to the console via cable and go to the menu by pressing the PlayStation button. There you must select the fifth item. Attention: The process may take some time.
All platforms: Account change and Black Ops operator
According to some sources, an account change can also help to solve the problem. If you no longer have problems with a new account, contact Activision support for help with your normal account.
There are also indications that the Black Ops operators are causing problems in Warzone. Switching to one of the Modern Warfare operators may help you.
If you have gone through all these options, your game should run again without crashing. If you still experience problems, you can at least report the bug to the developer so that it can be fixed as soon as possible.
