BIG prevailed in the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 and qualified for the Finals with two wins against Astralis.
The best German CS:GO team is back at the BLAST Spring Groups 2022. At the weekend, BIG qualified for the Spring Finals and prevailed against other greats of the CS:GO esports scene.
In the group phase of the BLAST Premier: Spring 2022, several well-known CS:GO organisations met. Among them was the German showcase team BIG. The Berliners performed well in the tournament, with sniper Florian “syrsoN” Rische standing out in particular. In the BLAST Spring Groups Finals, BIG lost to the Ninjas in Pyjamas and the FaZe Clan. In the decisive match, however, BIG managed to beat Astralis once again and entered the Spring Finals 2022 as the sixth team alongside NAVI, G2, OG, Vitality and FaZe.
BIG is currently 14th in the CS:GO world rankings. However, after defeating Astralis twice, who are currently in eighth place, a promotion could be possible. This would make it conceivable that BIG could scratch the top 10. In addition, the team has the chance to win the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals in June and thus put an exclamation mark on itself against other big names such as NAVI and Vitality.

However, there are plenty of other tests ahead for BIG before the Spring Finals. Next up is the prestigious Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice on 15 February. First, the German team will start in the play-in of the tournament, where one of the coveted play-off places is at stake. Furthermore, the next CS:GO Major will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, in May. There, the highest crown in the Counter-Strike circus will be at stake.
