Day 2 of the autumn edition of the BLAST Premier. The first two semi-finalists have been decided. It seems as if a previously fallen favourite is going to be resurgent.
The swansong for the FaZe Clan was high after their disappointing early exit at the IEM Rio Major. Terms like “washed” and “fed up” were bandied about the net. There was even an ESL-produced video on YouTube called “The Fall of FaZe Clan”.
Less than two weeks later, the world of Counter-Strike looks very different again. The Major in Brazil has long been history, the BLAST Premier Series is the present. And the FaZe Clan is suddenly back on top.

BLAST Premier: FaZe Clan is back!
In impressive style Finn “karrigan” Andersen and Co. have performed so far in the autumn edition of the BLAST Premier series. Both the opening match against OG and the winners match against Heroic – runners-up at the last IEM Rio Major – went clearly to FaZe with 2:0.
In neither match was even one FaZe player worse than the average rating of 1.0. In fact, the intra-team average of karrigan, Havard “rain” Nygaard, Russel “Twistzz” van Dulken, Robin “ropz” Kool and Helvijs “broky“Saukants at an outstanding 1.29!

Thanks to their performance so far, the FaZe Clan have already qualified early for the semi-finals, which take place tomorrow at 19:00. The opponent will be determined today also at 19:00 in the match between NaVi and the Ninjas in Pyjamas.
First up, the first quarter-final between Heroic and G2 Esports will take place from 15:30. The winner of this best-of-three match will meet Team Liquid again tomorrow in the semi-finals (15:30).
The squad around Keith “NAF-FLY” Markovic first defeated G2 Esports 2:0 in the opening match and then NaVi around superstar Oleksandr “s1mple Kostyliev in a contested match 2:1.
The grand final of the BLAST Premier Fall will be played on Sunday at 17:30.
It would be interesting to see how long it would take the ESL to release a video this time, should it be the FaZe clan that ends up on top
