The veteran returns to Counter-Strike. Founding member gob b becomes the new head coach of BIG and leaves the established VALORANT team in return.
With gob b, a CS legend returns to his roots. He has been a fixture in CS:GO for decades and is a founding member of BIG. In 2017, he founded the organisation together with Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić and Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz. However, gob b turned his back on Valve’s shooter in 2020 and dedicated himself to the new project in VALORANT, the new competitive shooter from LoL developer Riot Games.
For BIG’s VALORANT team, gob b competed as a team captain for BIG and managed to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA with his team. Who will fill his void there has not been announced yet. However, the esport player will replace the current coach Niclas “enkay J” Krummhorn for the CS:GO team. In the past few weeks, gob b has already helped out with the team.

His first official appearance as BIG’s new head coach will be in just a few days for the start of the most important tournament of the year: the PGL Major Antwerp 2022. As captain of the CS:GO team from 2017 to 2019, the Esport man enjoyed some success for himself. In 2018, BIG reached the finals of ESL One Cologne and the team also participated in quite a few Major playoffs.
