The latest update will permanently change the competitive CS:GO meta. We show you the most important changes at a glance!
The 11th Operation in CS:GO has been released. But besides a new Battle Pass, new skins and as usual small changes, the new update brings a number of drastic gameplay changes to the game.
The most important changes
With Operation Riptide, on the Dust2 map, the view from the terrorist spawn, which previously extended to the doors on the CT side, has been blocked with a lowered wall.
There is also a serious change to the grenades. These can now be dropped on the ground like weapons to be picked up by another player.
Today we are excited to ship CS:GO's 11th Operation, Operation Riptide. New challenges await, with new maps, new game mode options, all-new Private Queues and more: https://t.co/w9Av3CkmrU

Private matchmaking and short competition
Some changes have been made to the game modes as well. It is now possible to create private matchmaking games with a code. You can share this with your friends/groups and play internally on Valve servers.
In addition to the normal competitive match (maximum 30 rounds), a shortened match (maximum 16 rounds) has been introduced.
