It was a final for the ages! G2 Esports has triumphed in Cologne after their success at the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice! Opponent ENCE was only able to intervene for a short time.
G2 Esports has won the last big Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – event! The guys under the leadership of German Jan “Swani” Müller didn’t give their competition from ENCE the slightest chance. Nevertheless, the Finns from ENCE managed to put up a decent performance against the opponents from G2.
G2 Esports clearly went into the match against ENCE as the favorites. The Finns had surprisingly kicked the competition of Team Vitality out of the race. That encounter was extremely even, with both teams going toe-to-toe, especially on the first map, and picking off each other one round at a time.
Netheless, at the end of the day ENCE managed to enter the grand and final CSGO final of IEM Cologne.

G2 Esports – merciless!
Although ENCE started the final match suitably fired up, at the end of the day it was only one team that set the tone: G2 Esports.
The Finnish opponents didn’t stand a chance on Mirage as well as on Nuke, which is why it could already come to a decision on Anubis. ENCE, on the other hand, did not want to surrender without a fight, which is why the team was able to win the third map, even if it was clearly close.
After that, however, it seemed as if all power had been used up. G2 Esports closed the bag on Ancient with 16:9 and secured a total prize money of 400,000 US dollars.
