CS:GO celebrated its tenth anniversary in August. Fans were hoping for lots of content and all they get with the new patch is new music.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive received a new update on Tuesday. In it, Valve’s shooter received a new Music Kit Box with six different tracks and map customisations. However, these don’t really seem to go down well with the community due to the tenth anniversary.

On 21 August, CS:GO celebrated its tenth birthday. The players were hoping for spectacular new content for the anniversary, but with each new patch, the community’s hopes seem to dwindle. For CS:GO’s birthday, Valve gave a cupcake with a special coin. Furthermore, over 60 stickers designed by the community were added to the game.

With the latest update, players were hoping for even more content for the anniversary. However, the patch only brings adjustments to the maps and new music to Valve’s shooter. Some fans seem to be quite disappointed about this and had expected more for the tenth anniversary. That’s why some players are letting their disappointment run free on Reddit.

The user “Space_Raisin” only comments there on the update with, “That’s it?” Other users like “Archgrim” compare it to other games, “Riot adds more in their bi-monthly act than Valve did during their ten year anniversary. What a joke.” Whether Valve will come up with anything else for the birthday remains to be seen. However, hope seems to be fading fast among the community.
