For a long time, Richard “shox” Papillion was one of the best CS:GO players in the world. Now the Rifler legend is making a spectacular attempt to get back on the big stage.
He is one of the greats in the Counter-Strike scene. Richard “shox” Papillion. Now 30, he shaped over a decade of the shooter, playing on top teams like G2 Esports and Team Vitality. Won countless trophies and personal awards and has been part of the illustrious circle of Major winners since 2014, when he won Dreamhack Winter with LDLC.
Since his move from Team Vitality to the Norwegian Team Apeks in the middle of last year, things have been quiet around the Frenchman.
That is now set to change again.
CS:GO: shox forms own team
In his stream, the star announced that he is not only out of Apeks, but also immediately what his plans are for the future. Instead of switching to Team Falcons, where he would be reunited with his ex-teammates Kenny “kennyS” Schrub and Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, the 30 year old is forming his own team without further ado.
This team does not yet have a fixed name, but it does have a complete line-up, which shox will lead as in-game leader. Alongside the experienced Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux, with whom shox has already played at G2 back in the day, three young guns complete the roster.
Jeremy “kursy” Gast, Ryan “Neityu” Aubry and Paul “Day0s” Niel. Three French talents who want to celebrate their first big successes on the scene under the guidance of the superstar. The declared goal of the project is to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
Should they succeed, they would definitely be assured of the role of fan favourites in front of their home crowd.
