Mockery and ridicule for s1mple after NAVI exit at Paris Major – “Put your ego away”

Sad end for the GOAT in CS:GO. s1mple fails NAVI ahead of playoffs at Paris Major.

This is certainly not how GOAT imagined the last CS:GO Major. With defeats against Team Liquid, Monte and finally FaZe Clan, s1mple and Natus Vincere were eliminated in the group stage.

No GOAT performance by s1mple

The last CS:GO Major will take place without the GOAT. After three (partly disastrous) defeats, the dream of the last Major is over for Natus Vincere and s1mple.

The Ukrainian’s lack of performance was also decisive in the superstar’s early exit. Over the eight maps played in Paris, s1mple did not come close to his normal exceptional performances.

Instead of his career average 1.24 rating, the superstar managed just a 1.07 rating. Especially in the crushing defeats against Monte, s1mple couldn’t even begin to keep up.

With Natus Vinceres out against FaZe Clan, the death of the favourites in Paris continues. After Mouz and G2, another top favourite misses the playoffs.

“Put your ego away, I will destroy you in tournaments “

The defeats against Monte’s Ukrainian rivals hurt twice for s1mple. After all, the local rival features two players with a shared history: Woro2k and sdy.

For example, sdy is a former teammate of Natus Vincere, who was often singled out by fans and the organisation itself as a scapegoat for lack of performance during his time with the Ukrainian showpiece team. Now sdy can rejoice that he was definitely not the problem at NAVI. Finally, he can wave goodbye to the quarter-finals, while s1mple has to make the journey home.

More scorn and ridicule hail s1mple for the beef between him and Woro2k. During a show match in 2022, the two got into a serious argument and took it to Twitter.

The whole thing eventually culminated in Woro2k’s threat and announcement that he would “destroy s1mple in tournaments” and told him to “put his ego away”.

Words that were to turn out to be prophecy, as the head-to-head comparison of the two players in yesterday’s clash showed:

This ends the last CS:GO Major for s1mple and NAVI on a more than just bitter note.
