On Wednesday it’s finally time for the next German teams. Both MOUZ and the BIG Clan will compete against the international elite in the ESL Pro League
The 19th season of the ESL Pro League is already in full swing. In Group A, Team Vitality and Movistar Riders were able to secure their ticket to the knockout phase in the Upper Bracket, while Astralis and Furia made it into the Lower Bracket. Organisations such as GamerLegion or the Ninjas In Pyjamas were not expected to make it past the quarter-finals.
Competition from Brazil & Ukraine
Today’s matches kick off with the duels between Heroic and Booster as well as BIG and Monte at 16:00 CEST. MOUZ, on the other hand, will start the Pro League season at 19:00 CEST with a match against the Brazilians from mibr. Last in the bracket, Evil Geniuses and ENCE will play for a place in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

A look at the world ranking of our colleagues from HLTV.org reveals that BIG is currently outside the top 20. Nevertheless, the Berliners, who recently celebrated a success in a smaller tournament, should be able to keep up with Monte. They are currently in 14th place. According to the statistics, things look much better for MOUZ. While the German eSports organisation currently occupies eleventh place, mibr is not represented in the top 30.
The Brazilians had recently reorganised themselves and signed two new players, André “drop” Abreu and Rafael “saffee” Costa. These were most recently active for Furia and were able to finish 5th to 8th at the PGL Major in Antwerp last year, among other things.
