Speculation about the Counter-Strike engine is fuelled again. A dataminer claims to have found new clues about Source 2 and more about a Half-Life game.

Four unreleased game titles are said to already be in Valve’s database. This has been reported by Tyler McVicker, who focuses on Valve-related news. The dataminer says he got his information from the data of the recently released game Aperture Desk Job.

Most of these titles are things fans have been speculating about for quite some time. Half-Life: Alyx was one of the most popular VR games, while a port of CS:GO to the Source 2 engine has been a debate among fans for years to revive the game. Almost two years ago, McVicker already claimed that there would be no Source 2 engine for CS:GO. But times can change. Still waiting for official word from Valve.

The alleged biggest find was the “Citadel” project, an unconfirmed Half-Life project. McVicker goes on to describe the video game as a hybrid of real-time strategy and first-person shooter that will feature multiplayer gameplay as well as a single-player campaign. There are to be two systems. One involves specific abilities such as weapons, ammunition and grenades. The other is supposed to be bots that can be controlled by the players.
