Valve’s “Dreams & Nighmares” skin competition, each with 100,000 US dollars in prize money, is entering the home stretch. The community is judging suggestions that have already been received.
The skin competition “Dreams & Nighmares” offered by Counter-Strike developer Valve will soon end on 21 October. Until then, every skin designer has the opportunity to enter their developed models into the selection. The ten winners of the contest will each receive 100,000 US dollars.
The Steam community is already eagerly presenting and discussing the designers’ products. As is well known, there is no accounting for taste, but there are already extremely successful proposals circulating on the Valve platform. Examples include the “M4A1-S Rebels” and the “Five Seven Volcano” by Young Thug, the “USP-S SUB-ACUATIC” by Lazzarito or the “AK-47 Night Cat” by CyberFairy. The skins are inspired by the theme of the competition, which is partly dark and interpreted by the artists with fantasy creatures.
Numerous other proposals for the contest “Dreams & Nighmares” can be found on Steam, which anyone interested can look at. The winners will be chosen by Valve. The box with the 17 skins and a Rare Special Item will presumably be presented at the Major in Stockholm, which starts five days later. Ten designers whose works find their way into the new skin collection will receive prize money of 100,000 US dollars each.
It will be exciting to see which ten skins will be in the CS:GO box. Possibly one of our four favourites will be among them – after all, Young Thug even has double the chance. However, there is not much time left for the designers to come up with new suggestions, as the deadline for submissions is less than two weeks away.
