In total, 20 of the most successful male professionals playing in Sweden have been scrutinised. Besides CS:GO, Dota 2 is also included with some players.

Almost all professional players are employed by their own companies and play separately for their respective Esport organisation. Accordingly, the turnover of the companies gives a good insight into the income of the pros.

Olofmeister is one of the best earners of past years. According to information from SportExpressen, the FaZe Clan player is said to have generated almost three million Swedish kronor in revenue in 2020. That corresponds to approximately 300,000 euros. At his best time three years ago, Olofmeister had even earned over 470,000 euros. “You earn good money,” the FaZe professional also confirms to the Swedish press.

Dane Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz has also been playing in Sweden since his move from Astralis to the Ninjas in Pyjamas and is one of the top transfers this year. The four-time Major winner is one of the CS:GO stars par excellence and earns accordingly well.

There is not yet enough data on the Dane’s earnings in Sweden. But the sum so far is estimated at just under 220,000 euros. “I have earned enough money to be able to live on it,” dev1ce told SportExpressen.

In general, esport professionals have various sources of income. In addition to the regular salary, these include other sponsorships, advertising deals, bonus payments or even Twitch streams.
