Rematch at the CS:GO tournament Flashpoint: The Ninjas in Pyjamas are to play the lost match against Anonymo Esports again. Internet problems on the part of NiP are the reason. Now both teams are speaking out.
The CS:GO tournament Flashpoint has been running for a week and has experienced a rather bumpy start. Internet problems on the part of the Ninjas in Pyjamas overshadowed the match against Anonymo Esports, which their opponents won. Afterwards, the losers demanded a rematch because they were affected by lags. Flashpoint finally grants this and is currently planning the rematch – to the chagrin of Anonymo Esports.

Planning chaos around the rematch
The rematch between the two teams is so far proving more costly to plan than anticipated. The original date of 16 May could not be met, which is why a new date is still up in the air so far. The actual format of the rematch has also not been decided – according to Flashpoint, this is up to the original winner Anonymo Esports.
Update to the official statement – The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 16th, but is currently being rescheduled and no official re-match time has been confirmed. Anonymo has been offered the choice between playing the full BO3 or only the last Map.

The match will subsequently decide which of the two teams will be moved to Upper and Loser Bracket. The match from the loser against HYENAS, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, has been postponed until next Tuesday, according to Flashpoint’s initial statement.
Frustrated teams in all-against-all
Flashpoint’s official statement states that Ninjas in Pyjamas in the third round of the first Map.
first reported internet problems among players. Flashpoint tried unsuccessfully to fix the problem by changing servers, but allowed the game to continue. In the aftermath of the lost match, both NiP itself and individual players expressed their disgust at the tournament organisers’ approach. Ex-Astralis star Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz, who made his NiP debut in the match, accused the officials of an “amateurish handling of the situation” on Twitter.
Our players didn't push for a rematch here – we did. All they want is acknowledgement that the playing conditions were unacceptable. They have been ready to play upper or lower bracket.
We aren’t pressuring anyone. The lies put forward in the Anonymo statement are disgraceful. https://t.co/NpP3GRbUZA

So far, both teams continue to represent their version of events. Only dev1ce posted a personal apology on Twitter regarding his indignant post-match tweet. So until Flashpoint announces more information on the timing of the rematch, the teams’ fronts remain hardened for now.
