Change appearance as well as reset skills, talents, advantage and attribute points – we explain what is possible in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a great character editor that gives you a lot of freedom: There are countless setting options with which you can design V according to your own personal preferences.

You only see your character very rarely, for example when you look in the mirror, open the inventory or steer a motorbike from the third-person perspective – but what if you’re not happy with the hairstyle you’ve chosen or would like a fancy tattoo?

You can change your clothes in the game at any time, but there are no hairdressers or tattoo studios in the open world yet. With Patch 1.5, however, you can now change V’s appearance in your flat without any problems! We also explain what you can and cannot change in the skills. While advantage points can be redistributed, you cannot reset attribute points.

Change your appearance in Cyberpunk – is that possible? It does now!

CD Project presents the new changes in the livestream for patch 1.5 and there is good news: Finally, you can customise V’s appearance at any time in the game. All you have to do is stand in front of the mirror in V’s flat and select “Customise character”.

The complete character editor is now available here and you can customise hair, make-up, piercings and much more. In addition, new hairstyles and makeup will be added with Patch 1.5.

We will keep you up to date on all the changes in patch 1.5 here:

Character Respec – what is possible

In Cyberpunk 2077 there are three different types of status values: Attributes, Skills and Perks.

Attributes

Attributes are the five main categories of Constitution, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Intelligence and Coolness. They give you passive bonuses and allow you to learn more talents. You can invest a maximum of 20 points per attribute – as the level cap for your hero is level 50, you will never be able to bring all attributes to the maximum at the same time.

Distributed points in attributes are permanent and cannot be taken back.

Skills

The skills can’t be reset either – but that’s no problem at all! After all, they are earned by learning by doing. For example, if you strike down enough enemies with the katana, your blade skill will increase.

The number of skill points you can earn depends on the corresponding attribute: if you have put 15 points into reflexes, you can level up rifles, handguns and blades to 15 each by using the appropriate weapon type.

Perks

Perks are the talents you can invest your advantage points in after a level up – and at the same time the only thing you can actually reset.

Such perks sometimes only provide small improvements such as less recoil for shotguns. Others, however, bring powerful changes and let you deactivate cameras or make you much less visible when sneaking.

How the skill reset works

In the past, to reset your passive skills, you had to visit a Ripperdoc and buy the item Tabula E-Rasa for 100,000 Eurodollars. After patch 1.3, the whole thing is now much quicker and much cheaper!

If you want to reset your perks, simply open your character screen. In the bottom left-hand corner, you will see how many points you have already earned. Below that, you will find the button that allows you to undo the distribution of points. The more points you have already invested in your passive skills, the higher the price for resetting.

This is to give players more freedom to play around with the perks and try out alternative builds. Attributes and skills, however, remain unchanged after the reset.

Should the developers introduce a way to change appearance and attributes in the future, we will of course let you know immediately!
