Update 2.0 has an exciting surprise in store: You can now play a completely different shooter in Cyberpunk 2077

The huge update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 not only has heaps of new features in store for you, but also a hidden surprise. In the latest version of the game you can now find a secret game in the game – what to expect and where to find it, we explain in this article.

The secret retro game

What is this game? Well hidden in Night City you can now find an arcade machine where you can play the shooter Arasaka Tower 3D. Behind the name hides a classic retro shooter in the style of Doom and Wolfenstein 3D.

Here you’ll take on the role of Johnny Silverhand, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, who escapes from Arasaka Tower in 2023 after infiltrating the corporation’s headquarters as part of a militech strike team and planting a nuclear explosive device.

The shooter exudes a retro feel not only through its pixel optics but also through the gameplay: like in the classics from the 90s, from which Arasaka Tower 3D was obviously inspired, here you can namely neither aim up nor down.

You can see how the mini-game looks like in action here:

Here you will find Arasaka Tower 3D

Where to find the game? The arcade game can be found in an abandoned church in the Badlands of Night City, south on the map. It is located near the Protein Farm quick travel point. You can see the exact location in the following screenshot:

If you have already unlocked the quick travel point, you will find the church just a few meters away. If not, you can mark the point on the map and drive there with your car.

How do you find the hidden minigame in Cyberpunk 2077? Have you tried it out and successfully stormed Arasaka Tower as Johnny Silverhand? Do you like other arcade games even better? Feel free to let us know in the comments how you did and if the retro feel excited you as much as it did us.
