What we know about Patch 1.5 – and what we wish for

According to previous counting, patch 1.4 should actually be released first in 2022, but CD Projekt Red has already announced that the next update for Cyberpunk 2077 will make a version jump to 1.5 and should be released at the same time as the release on the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in Q1 2022.

This would coincide with preparations on Steam. For patch 1.3, 21 unnamed, non-public changes to the Steam build appeared between 7 July and 18 August (the launch of 1.3). Transferred to version 1.5, this would point to a release at the end of February 2022.

There is no confirmed information on the release of patch 1.5 so far, but in view of the new clues in the Steam database, some Reddit users speculate that CD Projekt Red could release the update and the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 at the same time in February 2022. This would then also be a strong signal to investors, because as a listed company, CD Projekt will disclose its current business figures at the end of February.
