After the big update 2.0, Cyberpunk 2077 is apparently not over yet. On December 5, the role-playing game will receive further free additions

After the game-changing Update 2.0, the story of Cyberpunk 2077 seemed complete: Many fan wishes were fulfilled, and on December 5 the Ultimate Edition, which includes the main game and expansion, will finally be released. But now CD Projekt announces that it will be releasing a major update 2.1  on the same day, which will probably bring some new features.

What’s in Update 2.1?

Unfortunately, the developers are not yet revealing any details about the content of the next update. However, the numbering alone reveals that it is not a minor patch like Update 2.01. Furthermore, CD Projekt can’t resist dropping at least one hint. We can expect new, eagerly awaited gameplay elements, according to the announcement:

Fortunately, we don’t have to guess puzzles for too long. Already on Friday, December 1 at 4:00 p.m. the developers will reveal more about the big update in a stream on Twitch.

The latest update?

It’s not entirely unlikely that Update 2.1 will be the last new content for Cyberpunk 2077. As no new expansions are planned for the role-playing game and an Ultimate Edition is now also being released, the developers have probably reached a point where they are satisfied with their game.

On top of that, some developers have also been pulled away from Cyberpunk 2077 in recent months and are now working on upcoming projects.

Did you expect Cyberpunk 2077 to get another big update, or are you also quite surprised by the announcement? What do you think is behind the announced gameplay elements? And what else are you hoping for from what could be the last update for the role-playing game? Let us know in the comments!
